Silicon Valley chipmaker AMD is showing its efforts for cleaner environment in products and inside the company. Some analysts think is now greener than Intel. Other big IT companies have been active, too.
California and Silicon Valley can show the way to cleaner environment. The state is well ahead the federal regulations. California’s landmark AB32 law requires the state to cut greenhouse gas emissions by about 174 million metric tons by 2020. The plan is to impose fees on the state’s worst air polluters.
